Want to be the University’s Next Big Start-up Success Story? This is a great place to start! David Hunter started here, and so did Kanika Bansal!

The LAUNCH.ed Business Ideas Competition (#BIC16) rewards promising potential businesses and social enterprises from students and graduates of the University of Edinburgh. The ideas do not need to be fully developed, and entrants are not required to have a complete strategy to put the idea into practice.

If you have an early-stage business or social enterprise idea, this is a fantastic opportunity to find out if your idea has commercial viability, and to discover how you can make it a reality.

We ask you a few questions about your idea then we ask you to submit a simple 2 minute video pitch about the idea! Judging will take place in December 2016, and the winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

The winners will be announced at the LAUNCH.ed Christmas Party in December 2016, and the decision of the judges is final. First, second, and third place applications will each win a prize. Simple!

The winner will receive £200 in Amazon vouchers PLUS work with Entrepreneur IQ to find your strengths and weaknesses through a psychometric worth £300. This fantastic opportunity will help you build a better business

Good Luck!
