The latest Launch.ed Business Bootcamp was a huge success. Both new and familiar faces attended the free event to help take a rough business idea to a fully-fledged elevator pitch. An impromptu yoga session even broke out to get the inspiration flowing!
The business ideas were wide ranging with Jeff Ward winning the pitching competition with his business idea of using drones. Jeff won tickets for the next University of Edinburgh TedX: It Starts with Passion which runs later this month. Runners-up Megan O’Donnell and Anil Yesilkaya were not left disappointed as they received copies of inspirational books personally chosen by our advisors; Shoe Dog by Phil Knight and A Paperboy’s Fable by Deep Patel.
Anil’s strong pitch with his time wasting app won him second place with Megan and her idea of a new mobile attachment won third.
One participant said “from a field I knew nothing about (beginning a start-up) I have a clear vision on how to proceed and what to do. I have loads of measures on what to evaluate the success/failure of business and all of this is thanks to Launch.ed.”
With glowing feedback forms we can’t wait for the next one in April!
